Description

Nepafenac Ophthalmic Suspension is a painkiller suspension applied in the treatment of cataract surgery-related pain and inflammation. It prevents and decreases the release of some chemicals within the eye responsible for causing pain and swelling. This renders the healing process post-eye surgery smoother and facilitates faster healing of the eye.

Wash your hands thoroughly before applying Nepafenac Ophthalmic Suspension. Only use the suspension as prescribed by your doctor and delay by five minutes between each drop. If you have contact lenses, take them out before applying the drops and delay by 15 minutes before replacing them. You should not touch the tip of the dropper or the bottle. This could result in infection.

Use of the drug can lead to reduced vision, foreign body sensation in the eyes, and raised intraocular pressure. These are often short-lived and become normal with time. If they do not settle or become worse, however, you should inform your doctor. Your doctor might be able to advise on methods of prevention or minimization of the symptoms.
