Experts use this drug to correct nutritional deficiencies in such conditions as when the enteral route (oral, sublingual/buccal, or rectal routes) is not effective, not advisable, or impossible. It is used when gastrointestinal absorption is prevented by the obstruction, anticancer treatment, inflammatory disease or its complication, tube feeding procedures alone cannot satisfy nutritional needs, bowel rest is needed due to gastrointestinal surgery or its complications like fistulae, ileus or anastomotic leaks.

In addition, it is applied in the management of hepatic encephalopathy (dysfunctioning of the brain as a result of advanced liver disease) in hepatitis patients (inflammation of the liver), cirrhosis (liver scarring and failure), and hepatic coma (coma resulting from severe liver disease).

Mode of Action: Amino acids are the substances that contribute to the growth, rebuilding of body tissues, food breakdown, and control of numerous other body processes by addressing nutritional deficiencies. While Nephro is mediated by their antioxidant activity, and partly anti-inflammatory activities.
