Brimonidine Tartrate Eye Drops IP 0.2%w/v – These eye drops are made up of the drug named Brimonidine Tartrate which is used in the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Brimonidine could be a sympathomimetic. It works by decreasing the generation of fluid funniness (liquid within the eye), which brings down the expanded eye weight. Glaucoma is an eye condition in which the optic nerve is damaged and that nerve leads to an abnormal eye pressure in the eye that can lead to permanent vision loss. Brimonidine eye drops decrease the production of aqueous humor and help to reduce the pressure in the eye.
Glaucoma is a group of eye problems that hurt the optic nerve, which is important for seeing well. This damage is usually caused by too much pressure in your eye. Brimonidine Tartrate Eye Drops IP 0.2%w/v are used to lower swelling and pressure in the eye. This helps stop problems with vision from glaucoma, like going blind, and makes vision better.
Ocular hypertension is when the pressure inside the eye is higher than it should be. This can happen because of an injury, some illnesses, or as a negative effect of certain medicines. Brimonidine Tartrate Eye Drops IP 0.2%w/v helps lower the extra fluid in the eye and make it easier to drain. This helps lower eye pressure and stops more damage, which can lead to changes in vision or even loss of sight.
